A Monthly Beach Party from 6 PM Until Late
Full Moon Rising brings its monthly celebration to Gitano Beach Tulum in November 2026. The party starts at 6 PM and continues into the late hours. Electronic DJ sets lead the programme as the evening moves from sunset into dancing. The beachfront format draws an international crowd, including couples and groups. This is a ticketed special event rather than a standard beach-club session.
Electronic Sets Built Around the Lunar Calendar
Full Moon Rising follows the lunar calendar rather than a weekly schedule. The programme is built around electronic DJ sets, with no live-band or pool-party format. Gitano Beach’s regular music programme spans deep house, tropical house, nu-disco, indie dance and melodic house. GITANO Records also releases playlists, live recordings and sets covering organic house, deep house, downtempo and disco house. Previous Gitano Beach programmes have featured Emanuel Satie, Savage & She, and Tom & Collins.
Open-Fire Mexican Food Before the Music Builds
The 6 PM start overlaps with Gitano Beach’s normal food service, which runs until 9 PM. Chef Alexandros Gkoutsi combines Mexican cooking with Mediterranean touches across the grill, comal and wood-fired oven. The menu includes cochinita pibil tacos with habanero and salsa verde, grilled seafood, roasted meats and vegetable plates. The drinks programme centres on mezcal cocktails. Kisses in the Car combines mezcal, rum, passion fruit and tangerine habanero, while Gipsy Disco 75 mixes vodka, rosé prosecco, elderflower and lime.
Tulum’s Separate Full Moon Tradition
Tulum also has a separate monthly party called Full Moon at Papaya Playa Project. That series runs on the Saturday closest to the full moon, with an 8 PM to 3 AM schedule and last entry at 1 AM. It books international DJs alongside the venue’s residents. Its sound leans toward tribal and groove-led electronic music, including house, techno, organic house, tribal house and melodic techno. Food and art programming run alongside the music. The series is one of the parties that shaped Tulum’s nightlife, but its hours and entry rules do not apply to this Gitano Beach event.
