Vesica Cenote Tulum: A Jungle Cenote Social Club

Vesica is an open-air cenote social club and wellness sanctuary set in the Mayan jungle north of town, in the Uptown area. It is built around natural freshwater cenotes, and the venue now has two of them — a single entrance fee covers access to both. The property mixes cenote swimming with lounge daybeds along the water's edge, hammock zones under the canopy, shaded wellness tents and a full kitchen. What a Day Here Feels Like

The atmosphere shifts through the day. Mornings are quiet and mellow — good for solo swimming, floating and picking a daybed before the crowd arrives. By early afternoon the mood turns into a lively but still relaxed social club as more guests fill in, and on a busy day the daybeds are all taken by early afternoon. The crowd runs from locals to visitors in their 20s to 50s, and it suits couples, solo travellers and groups of friends looking for an alternative to the coast.

The music is downtempo, Afro house, organic house and other types of house, with resident and guest DJs spinning daytime sets on weekends, typically between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. On weekend nights the venue opens a dedicated dance area, and it hosts recurring event series and festivals — Ritmo Lunar and Ritmo Solar gatherings, Concert Nights, and its Santuario candlelight sessions of live classical and chamber music.

Farm-to-Table Food and a Mexican-Distillate Bar

The kitchen is led by Chef Cesar Castañeda and works farm-to-table, with seasonal regional Yucatecan ingredients and open wood-fire cooking on the main dishes. The menu spans breakfast and lunch, with appetizers, salads, ceviches and grilled mains, and everything is ordered from and brought straight to your daybed.

Wellness, Weddings and Events

Wellness runs alongside the cenote all day. The tent and hammock area behind the water hosts massages from 699 MXN, plus yoga, sound healing, breathwork, reiki, ice baths and cold plunge therapy, Chinese cupping and facials. Yoga is offered on set mornings, and treatments are best booked ahead.

Beyond day visits, Vesica hosts weddings, celebrations and private events across its pavilions and jungle grounds. It also runs a membership programme, and event brands and festivals such as the ¿PorQuéNo? Cenote Festival have used the venue. For weddings or larger gatherings, the setting is designed to hold a full event rather than just a party corner.

How to Visit Vesica Cenote Tulum

Vesica sits in the jungle in Uptown, a few minutes' drive north of town, open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Entry is 600 MXN per person, which now covers both cenotes, with a minimum spend of 500 to 1,000 MXN per person depending on the daybed zone — the closer to the water, the higher the minimum. There is a free parking on site.

Arrive early, especially in high season, to have your pick of daybeds and the quieter morning water.
