Terms and Conditions

1. What Tulum Bible does

Tulum Bible is primarily a guide, promotional platform and concierge service.

We help people discover venues, events, villas, yachts, transportation, private chefs and other experiences in Tulum, and we can help connect you with the businesses that provide them.

Depending on the request, we may:

  • recommend a venue or provider;

  • introduce you to a local business;

  • send a reservation request on your behalf;

  • help coordinate details between you and the provider;

  • refer you to a ticketing, booking or payment platform; or

  • help you compare available options.

Unless we clearly tell you otherwise, Tulum Bible is not the venue, accommodation provider, transport operator, yacht operator, chef, ticket seller or other business providing the underlying service.

The relevant provider remains responsible for the service you book.

Tulum Bible may receive a commission, referral fee or other commercial benefit from some venues and providers when a booking or introduction is made through us.

Not every business listed on Tulum Bible has a commercial relationship with us, and a commercial relationship does not automatically determine whether a business is included or recommended.

2. Recommendations and information on the site

We try to keep venue information, prices, opening hours, event details and recommendations current.

Tulum changes quickly. Venues can change their hours, prices or policies. Events can change their dates, schedules or lineups. Villas, yachts and other services can become unavailable.

Information on the site should therefore be treated as current guidance rather than a guarantee that every detail will remain unchanged.

Our editorial recommendations reflect our own assessment and the information available to us at the time.

Some links, listings or bookings may generate a commission for Tulum Bible. Where a commercial relationship is relevant to a recommendation or promotion, we aim to make that relationship clear.

If a detail is important to your plans, confirm it before you travel.

3. Enquiries and reservations

Sending us a form, WhatsApp message or other enquiry does not create a confirmed reservation.

In most cases, Tulum Bible sends your request to the relevant provider and helps coordinate the booking.

A reservation becomes confirmed when the relevant provider or booking platform confirms it and any payment or deposit required by that provider has been completed.

Tulum Bible may relay that confirmation to you on the provider's behalf.

Before you confirm a paid service, you should receive the important booking information, which may include:

  • the service being booked;

  • date and time;

  • number of guests;

  • price and currency;

  • required taxes, minimum spends or charges;

  • deposit or payment requirements;

  • cancellation conditions; and

  • any other rules specific to the provider.

Availability and pricing may change until the provider confirms the reservation.

If anything in a confirmation appears incorrect, contact us or the provider as soon as possible.

4. Prices, commissions and payments

Prices shown on Tulum Bible are generally supplied by the relevant venue, operator or booking partner and may change.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, Tulum Bible does not set the final price charged by the provider.

Payments are generally made:

  • directly to the venue or service provider; or

  • through the provider's chosen ticketing, reservation or payment platform.

Tulum Bible may help arrange the transaction or send you the relevant payment link, but this does not necessarily mean Tulum Bible is the seller or merchant providing the service.

Where Tulum Bible receives a commission or referral fee, this is normally paid by the provider for the introduction or booking.

If a fee payable by you is added specifically by Tulum Bible, it will be disclosed before you agree to it.

Your bank or card provider may apply its own foreign exchange or international transaction fees. These are outside our control.

If a transaction is ever offered directly by Tulum Bible rather than by a third-party provider, that will be made clear before payment and any additional terms applying to that transaction will be shown at the time.

5. Independent providers

The majority of services promoted or arranged through Tulum Bible are supplied by independent businesses.

These may include:

  • restaurants and beach clubs;

  • hotels and villa operators;

  • yacht and catamaran companies;

  • transportation providers and drivers;

  • private chefs and catering teams;

  • photographers and DJs;

  • ticketing platforms and event promoters;

  • wellness providers; and

  • other local businesses.

The provider is responsible for delivering its service and for the terms that apply to that service.

Provider terms may cover matters such as:

  • deposits;

  • minimum spends;

  • arrival times;

  • cancellations;

  • refunds;

  • security deposits;

  • guest limits;

  • damage;

  • dress codes;

  • age restrictions;

  • weather;

  • changes to schedules; and

  • other conditions specific to the booking.

Tulum Bible can help communicate with the provider, but we do not control its availability, operating decisions or policies.

Nothing in these Terms limits any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.

6. Cancellations, refunds and changes

Because most bookings are supplied by independent providers, cancellation and refund policies vary.

The terms given by the provider for your specific reservation apply to that booking.

If you cancel

Any refund, partial refund, credit or cancellation charge is determined by the provider's booking terms and applicable law.

Some deposits or bookings may be non-refundable where this was disclosed before confirmation.

If the provider cancels

If a provider cancels or cannot fulfil a confirmed booking, Tulum Bible can help communicate with the provider and, where possible, help you find an alternative.

Any refund or credit is normally issued by the business or payment platform that received the payment, subject to its terms and applicable law.

If you change the booking

Changes to dates, group size, routes, menus, vehicles, properties or other details may affect availability or price.

We can help request a change, but it is not confirmed until the provider accepts it.

7. Events and tickets

Tulum Bible lists and promotes events taking place in and around Tulum.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, Tulum Bible is not the event organiser or ticket seller.

Tickets may be sold by the event organiser, venue or an independent ticketing platform.

When you purchase a ticket through a third-party platform, its terms, refund policy and payment conditions apply.

Event dates, venues, opening hours, lineups and set times can change. The organiser is responsible for final event information and any cancellation, postponement or refund policy.

A ticket generally gives access to the event as a whole and does not necessarily guarantee that a particular artist will perform unless the organiser's terms specifically say so.

Always check the final event information and ticket conditions supplied by the organiser or ticketing platform.

18. Responsibility and liability

Tulum Bible acts mainly as a guide, promoter, referral service and booking facilitator.

When a service is provided by an independent business, that provider is responsible for the performance of the service it supplies.

Tulum Bible is not responsible for matters that are solely within an independent provider's control, such as:

  • the quality or delivery of its service;

  • operational changes;

  • cancellations;

  • delays;

  • staff conduct;

  • venue rules;

  • availability; or

  • decisions made for safety or operational reasons,

except where applicable law provides otherwise.

We remain responsible for our own actions and for obligations that cannot legally be excluded.

We are not responsible for problems caused by inaccurate information supplied by you, failure to follow booking instructions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove mandatory consumer rights.

19. Circumstances outside anyone's control

Some bookings can be affected by events outside Tulum Bible's or the provider's reasonable control, including severe weather, hurricanes, unsafe sea conditions, road closures, government restrictions, natural disasters, strikes, power failures or other major disruptions.

The provider's cancellation or rescheduling policy will generally determine what happens to the booking.

Where possible, Tulum Bible can help communicate with the provider and explore alternative arrangements.

22. Complaints and disputes

If you have a problem with a recommendation or with the way Tulum Bible handled your enquiry, contact us and we will try to help.

If the issue concerns the actual service provided by a venue, operator or other independent business, that provider will normally need to handle the complaint.

We can assist with communication where appropriate.
