It was laid out as a residential development rather than a hotel strip, so the streets are quiet, the plots are generous and almost every house has a pool. The villas here tend to be modern, walled and staffed, which is why groups who want space without giving up a short hop into town keep choosing it.
The trade off is the sand. You are not on the beach in Aldea Zama, you are about ten minutes from it, which most groups solve with a car, bikes or a driver on call. In exchange you pay less per bedroom than the beach road, and you sleep away from the music.
