Tulum New Years Eve

Tulum New Year's Eve guide for 2026–2027: confirmed parties, dinner seatings, jungle raves and ticket updates from Gitano, Bagatelle, Vagalume and Zamna.

Updated August 19, 2026

New Year's Eve in Tulum is not one big city-wide celebration. December 31 is spread across beach clubs, restaurants, jungle venues and hotels, with everything from long dinners and bottle-service tables to parties that continue well after midnight.

This is our live guide to New Year's Eve 2027 in Tulum, taking place on Thursday, December 31, 2026. We update it as venues announce their menus, lineups, ticket prices and table packages.

It is still early in the season. Gitano has already opened reservations for both its Beach and Jungle celebrations, Papaya Playa Project has confirmed its annual beachfront NYE event, and several of Tulum's usual December 31 venues have yet to announce their plans.

Which Tulum New Year's Eve should you choose?

The best option depends less on which venue is “the biggest” and more on what you actually want to do before midnight.

If you want dinner followed by dancing without changing venues, Gitano Jungle is already one of the clearest confirmed options.

If you want New Year's Eve directly on the beach, Gitano Beach and Papaya Playa Project are the main confirmed choices so far.

If you are waiting for a large electronic music event, it is worth waiting a little longer before buying anything. Zamna has confirmed its 2027 season but has not yet announced an individual December 31 lineup.

More restaurant dinners, hotel celebrations and beach-club events normally appear as the season gets closer, so this page will grow considerably over the next few months.

Coming up

December 2026

  • NYE 2027 Gitano Beach

Gitano Beach returns with a New Year's Eve celebration on the southern stretch of Tulum's beach.

The night combines dinner, drinks and dancing in one beachfront location, with several packages depending on whether you want general admission, dinner or a reserved table.

General admission currently starts with an open-bar package from 10 PM at 6,000 MXN before ticketing fees. Dinner packages start earlier, with a four-course menu and table reservation before the party continues into midnight.

There are also higher table tiers that include bottle-service credit and seating closer to the main party area.

No artist lineup has been announced yet.

    Date: Thursday, December 31, 2026
    Venue: Gitano Beach
    Dinner: Available
    Party: Yes
    General admission: From 10 PM
    Open bar: Available
    Lineup: TBA
Current GA price: 6,000 MXN before fees

For anyone who wants the entire evening on the sand rather than moving from dinner somewhere else to a party afterwards, this is one of the simplest options already on sale.

  • NYE 2027 Gitano Jungle

Gitano Jungle is taking a different approach: dinner inside its Hotel Zone jungle restaurant followed by a late-night party.

Its 2027 programme includes a four-course Modern Mexican dinner, international DJs, live entertainment and Gitano Cabaret, although the individual artists have not yet been announced.

There are several ways to attend.

General admission with open bar begins at 10 PM and currently costs 5,000 MXN per person. A dinner-and-dancing package starts at 9,000 MXN, while the venue also offers different table areas with bottle-service credit.

That makes Gitano Jungle particularly useful for groups that want to book one place for dinner, midnight and the party afterwards rather than dealing with transport between venues during the busiest night of the year.

    Date: Thursday, December 31, 2026
    Venue: Gitano Jungle
    Dinner: From 8 PM
    General admission: From 10 PM
GA + open bar: 5,000 MXN before fees

What about Zamna on New Year's Eve?

Zamna is confirmed to return to Tulum for its 2027 festival season and has already released a three-event Multipass. The official Multipass listing is dated December 31, 2026.

However, that is not the same thing as an announced Zamna New Year's Eve event.

As of August 19, Zamna's official Tulum event calendar only lists the 2027 Multipass. There is no individual December 31 artist, showcase or lineup published yet.

Last season Zamna welcomed 2026 with MRAK on December 31, but that was the 2025/26 programme and should not be assumed to be returning.

If Zamna announces an NYE event for 2027, it will be added here.

More New Year's Eve announcements are coming

A lot of the Tulum NYE calendar is still missing, and that is normal this far from December.

Previous Tulum Bible guides have included celebrations from venues such as Vagalume, Ahau, Bagatelle, Mía, Ilios and others, but their previous events should not be treated as confirmation that they will run the same format this year.

Instead of creating placeholder events based on what happened last season, we will update this guide as each venue releases its actual 2027 plans.

So if the list looks short today, check back.

Dinner or party?

One of the biggest differences between Tulum NYE options is when the night actually starts.

Dinner + party

A lot of beach clubs and restaurants sell a complete package beginning around 7–9 PM. You get your table for dinner, stay through midnight and then continue at the same venue.

This is usually the easiest setup for groups because you avoid trying to move around the Hotel Zone close to midnight.

Gitano Jungle and Gitano Beach already have versions of this format confirmed for 2027.

Party only

If you already have dinner plans, some venues offer general admission later in the evening.

Gitano's current party-only entries begin at 10 PM.

Table or bottle service

For larger groups, reserving a table can make more sense than buying individual entry tickets, especially if the group expects to order bottles anyway.

Just check what is actually included. Some packages are a fixed price, others include a food or beverage credit, and gratuity may be additional.

New Year's Eve dinner in Tulum

You do not need to go to a festival to have a good December 31 in Tulum.

Many of the better restaurants prepare fixed New Year's Eve menus with later seatings designed to carry the table through midnight.

These dinners usually start appearing later in the year, so we will add the best confirmed options here rather than listing restaurants that have not published their 2027 programme yet.

When comparing dinners, look at:

  • whether the price is only dinner or also includes drinks;

  • whether you keep your table after midnight;

  • whether entry to the party is included;

  • whether there is a service charge;

  • where your table is located; and

  • what time the reservation ends.

A cheaper dinner can become less useful if you then need another ticket and another journey to get to the party.

New Year's Day: 7 Realms begins January 1

New Year's Eve is also the beginning of the wider January season.

On January 1, 2027, the first date of 7 Realms takes place, beginning a seven-event daytime series created by Tulum Bible and running every other day through January 13.

We created 7 Realms to connect festival season with more of Tulum itself. Each event moves to a different location, while the wider project works with local venues, hotels and businesses around town.

There is also a points system where people can earn rewards through invites, challenges, participating venues and festival attendance, with free and discounted tickets and other prizes available along the way.

If you are coming to Tulum for New Year's and want to see what begins on January 1, sign up to 7 Realms before the reveals start.

New Year's Eve traffic in Tulum

This is one part of the night worth planning before you arrive.

The beach road becomes particularly busy on December 31, and many NYE venues start dinner at a similar time.

If your reservation is in the Hotel Zone, do not plan around the amount of time the same journey takes on a normal evening.

Gitano's own NYE information advises guests to account for New Year's traffic, and previous venue listings do the same.

For groups, pre-arranged transportation is usually easier than trying to find several cars later in the evening.

Tulum Bible can help arrange a pickup around your dinner or party booking.

Where should you stay for New Year's Eve?

Your NYE plan should influence where you stay.

If your main reservation is at Gitano, Papaya Playa Project or another Hotel Zone venue, staying near the beach can remove a lot of travel from the night.

If New Year's Eve is only the start of a longer festival trip, Aldea Zama, La Veleta or Tulum town may give you more flexibility for the rest of the stay.

For larger groups, a villa also makes it easier to have everyone leave together and arrange one transport schedule.

I would choose the stay around the whole trip, not just where you plan to be at midnight.

When should you book Tulum New Year's Eve?

For a group that already knows where it wants to go, earlier is generally better.

NYE is different from an ordinary night because restaurants work with limited dinner seatings and table areas. Once the specific section you want is full, buying a more expensive ticket later does not necessarily get it back.

On the other hand, if you are mainly waiting for the electronic music lineups, it may make sense to wait for the next round of announcements instead of buying the first available party simply because it is already on sale.

We will keep the confirmed list at the top of this guide updated as that happens.

Planning New Year's Eve in Tulum

There is no single correct way to spend December 31 here.

You can have dinner by the beach and stay for midnight, start with a long dinner in the jungle, wait for one of the larger electronic events, or keep New Year's Eve relatively simple and save the bigger nights for the January festival calendar.

The useful part is deciding before December 31 how dinner, the party and transport fit together.

Browse our Tulum Events calendar for the latest confirmed announcements, or message Tulum Bible if you want help choosing between the options and arranging tables or transportation.

Tulum, on your terms.

Good to know

  • Is Zamna doing New Year's Eve 2027?
Zamna has confirmed its 2027 Tulum season and is selling its Multipass, but an individual December 31 event and lineup have not yet been announced on Zamna's official event calendar.
  • Is there a New Year's Eve party at Papaya Playa Project?
Yes. Papaya Playa Project has confirmed a December 31 event beginning at 6 PM. The artist lineup is still TBA.
  • How much does New Year's Eve in Tulum cost?
It varies significantly. The currently announced Gitano options range from 5,000 MXN for Jungle GA with open bar to substantially more for dinner, tables and VIP packages. Gitano Beach GA with open bar is currently listed at 6,000 MXN before ticketing fees.
  • Do I need to book dinner in advance?
For a specific New Year's Eve restaurant or table, yes. NYE usually operates with fixed seatings, packages and limited tables rather than normal walk-in dining.
  • What happens on New Year's Day in Tulum?
January 1 is the start of the wider festival season, and in 2027 it is also the first date of 7 Realms, Tulum Bible's new seven-event daytime series.
  • Should I book transportation?
For Hotel Zone dinners, large groups or events outside central Tulum, we recommend to arrange it ahead of time. December 31 traffic is considerably less predictable than a normal night.
  • Will more NYE events be announced?
Yes. The current calendar is still early. We will only add events once we have enough confirmed information to publish them properly.
