Tehmplo Tulum: Seasonal Electronic Music Events

Tehmplo is an open-air event venue at the end of Avenida Kukulkán, near Km 5.5 of Carretera Tulum–Boca Paila. Its location makes it relatively easy to reach from both Tulum town and the Hotel Zone, although traffic around the area can become very heavy during major events.

The venue operates mainly during Tulum’s winter high season, with most events taking place between late December and mid-January rather than on a regular weekly schedule. Each date has its own promoter, lineup, production, ticket structure and operating hours. The programme is centred mostly around house, techno, tech-house, deep tech and minimal, with Lostnights and Mandala Group among the teams behind events at the site.

How Tehmplo Changes for Each Event

Tehmplo is built around a large central dance floor in an open-air jungle setting. The stage design, lighting, visual production and overall layout can change considerably from one event to another.

Some productions use large LED screens and festival-style stage builds, while others create more elaborate structures around the jungle setting. Bars, VIP areas and private tables are positioned around the main event space, with the dance floor remaining open to the surrounding vegetation.

Solomun, Mayan Warrior and Winter Headliners

Solomun has become one of the venue’s regular January headliners and has played Tehmplo every year since 2024.

Other past artists and events have included Arodes, CamelPhat, Marco Carola, Vintage Culture, Vite, Michael Bibi, Maceo Plex, AMÉMÉ, Damian Lazarus and Max Styler.

Mayan Warrior has also brought its production to the venue, including its New Year’s Eve event with the Galaxyer Art Car. Other dates have ranged from house and techno lineups to branded concepts such as LOCUS.

Ticket Prices, VIP Tables, Food and Drinks

Tehmplo is one of the more expensive event venues in Tulum during January.

General admission tickets typically start around $100 USD, although prices increase through different ticket tiers and can be significantly higher for major headliners.

Private tables generally start from around $5,000 USD, but the price can rise substantially depending on the event, table location and artist. For particularly high-demand dates, the difference can be significant. For example, the cheapest table for Solomun can start around $15,000 USD for 10 people.

Event Hours, Location and Advance Booking

Tehmplo does not have regular nightly opening hours. Doors, closing times and set times are determined separately for each event, with many January productions running late into the night and sometimes into the following morning.
