Thursday, January 7, 2027 · Tehmplo Tulum

Solomun returns to Tehmplo on January 7 for what has become one of the more dependable dates of Tulum’s January season. The Bosnian-German DJ has played the jungle venue every January since 2024, with sets that regularly stretch well beyond the usual headline slot.

For 2027, Solomun is the only artist announced so far. Tehmplo has not yet published the supporting lineup, set times, final opening hours, or VIP packages. Priority ticket registration is currently open through the venue.

Solomun Tulum 2027 lineup

Solomun

Support: TBA

Unlike the larger jungle festivals taking place around the same dates, this is not built around dozens of artists or multiple stages. Solomun is the reason to go. His sets move through house, deep house, techno, indie dance and the harder club records he has increasingly played in recent years, often over several hours rather than a standard festival slot.

The supporting lineup tends to stay small. In 2026, Max Styler opened for Solomun before the two later played together. The 2025 edition included Vite, Kimonos and Vintage Culture, alongside a Solomun set that was widely reported to have continued for more than 10 hours.

Why Solomun in Tulum matters

Solomun’s relationship with Tulum predates Tehmplo.

He was already playing in the Riviera Maya during the BPM Festival years, and in January 2015 Boiler Room recorded him during a Diynamic takeover in Tulum. The two-hour recording became his best-known filmed DJ set and one of the most widely watched Boiler Room performances of its era.

When Solomun announced his return to Tulum for 2024 after several years away, he referred to having first played here roughly a decade earlier and described Tehmplo as the place he wanted to come back to. That January 2 show was advertised from 10pm to 8am and billed around an extended Solomun performance.

He has returned to Tehmplo every January since.

Previous Solomun shows at Tehmplo

2024

Solomun returned to Tulum on January 2, 2024 for an All Night Long-style show at Tehmplo. The advertised hours were 10pm to 8am, although footage and posts from the event suggest the set continued beyond the planned finish.

2025

He returned on January 9, 2025. The event was advertised from 8pm to 6am, with Vite and Kimonos opening and Vintage Culture also appearing during the night. Reports after the event described Solomun playing for more than 10 hours.

2026

The January 8, 2026 edition paired Solomun with Max Styler. Resident Advisor listed the event from 9pm to 4am, while Tehmplo later shared footage of the morning continuing well beyond that schedule, including Solomun and Styler playing together.

2027

Solomun returns on Thursday, January 7, 2027. Supporting artists and set times are still to be announced.

The pattern is worth knowing: the printed closing time has not always told the full story. Do not assume, however, that 2027 will run late simply because previous editions did. Wait for the official set times and event information closer to the date.

About Diynamic

Solomun and Adriano Trolio founded Diynamic Music in Hamburg in 2006, with the name built around a “Do It Yourself” philosophy. Over the following years the label became closely associated with a melodic, emotionally driven strain of house music while giving early international exposure to several artists who later developed major careers of their own.

Diynamic also became part of Solomun’s history in Mexico. The label hosted showcases during the BPM Festival era, including the 2015 Tulum takeover captured by Boiler Room.

What to expect

This is a single-artist-led jungle party, not a conventional festival.

Expect most of the crowd to arrive for Solomun and stay for several hours. Previous Tehmplo editions have continued through sunrise and sometimes well into the morning, although there is no guarantee the 2027 event will follow the same pattern.

If you want to see the full progression of the night, this is one event where arriving reasonably early makes sense. The opening DJs are part of the build rather than simply background before the headliner.

Solomun Tulum 2027 tickets

Tehmplo currently lists priority ticket pre-registration for the January 7 event. VIP zone packages are marked as coming soon.

Official ticket tiers and prices have not yet been published on Tehmplo’s main event page.

Avoid treating prices on StubHub or Viagogo as the face value of the event. Those are resale marketplaces and currently show listings before Tehmplo has published its full ticket information.

  • What time does Solomun at Tehmplo start?
Official 2027 hours have not yet been published. Do not use the 11pm time currently appearing on resale marketplaces as an official opening time. Tehmplo itself has confirmed the date but has not yet published the final schedule. For context, previous editions were advertised as: 2024: 10pm–8am 2025: 8pm–6am 2026: 9pm–4am Actual performances have sometimes continued later than the advertised schedule. We will update the 2027 hours and set times once Tehmplo publishes them.
  • Who is Solomun?
Mladen Solomun is a Bosnian-German DJ and producer based in Hamburg. In 2006, he founded Diynamic Music with Adriano Trolio. The label went on to become an important home for artists including H.O.S.H., Stimming and, later, names such as Adriatique. His other defining project is Solomun+1, the Ibiza residency he started at Pacha in 2013. The format deliberately keeps the lineup small: one guest joins Solomun, with both artists getting enough time to build a full set rather than moving through short festival slots. The residency continues at Pacha today. That approach explains a lot about his Tulum shows. Solomun generally works best when he has time. Rather than building immediately toward a headline moment, his longer sets can change direction repeatedly through the night and respond to the room.
  • What kind of music does Solomun play?
Calling it simply “melodic house” does not really describe his current sets. Solomun built much of his reputation around deep and melodic house, but his sets have changed considerably over time. They can move through house, indie dance, techno, vocals, edits and heavier club records depending on the room and hour. The New Yorker noted the same shift after the pandemic, contrasting his slower 2015 Tulum sound with the harder and faster direction of his later sets. The common thread is the way he structures long sets rather than one narrow genre.
  • What is Tehmplo?
Tehmplo is an open-air venue set in the jungle along the Tulum beach road. It sits at Km 5.5 on Carretera Tulum–Boca Paila, close enough to the hotel zone to reach without the long drive associated with venues farther inland. Tehmplo estimates around 15 minutes by car from the hotel zone and around 20 minutes from Aldea Zama, depending on traffic. The venue is associated with Mandala Group and LostNights, both credited on Tehmplo’s official site. LostNights has also produced the recent Solomun editions at the venue. Tehmplo is substantially smaller in feel than the large-scale Zamna grounds. The focus is one main dancefloor surrounded by jungle, with bars, tables and VIP areas around it. That makes a long Solomun set particularly well suited to the venue: there is less reason to move between stages and more emphasis on staying with one progression through the night.
