120 Metres of Sand, Cabanas and a Giant Disco Ball
Gitano Beach occupies a 120-metre strip of sand beside the Casa Gitano hotel, near the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve. Cushioned sunbeds, cabanas and bamboo benches create several places for groups to gather. Black-and-white striped tipis provide shade, while handcrafted textiles and natural materials shape the lounge areas. A giant disco ball marks the venue’s party side. The venue normally hosts DJs from Thursday through Sunday, connecting daytime beach service with dancing around sunset. Its recurring sessions include Full Moon Rising, Gypsy Disco, Sunset Fiesta and Las Gitanas. Dinner from the Grill, Comal and Wood-Burning Oven
Chef Alexandros Gkoutsi’s menu combines modern Mexican cooking with Mediterranean touches. The open-fire kitchen prepares grilled seafood, roasted meats, tacos and vegetable plates.
