Umi Tulum: An Adults-Only Beach Club with an Infinity Pool

Opened in 2024, this beachfront property combines a day club, restaurant and 16-room boutique hotel. The beach club is adults-only and pet-friendly, with private cabanas and sun loungers facing the sea. An infinity pool and bar sit behind the beach area. Guests can also arrange beachfront massages, including couples and full-body treatments. The hotel is part of the property, but the club welcomes visitors who are not staying overnight.

The design mixes Japanese minimalism with familiar Tulum materials and open-air spaces. A sun terrace connects the pool, restaurant and private beach area. There is also a yoga space, fitness centre and wellness area. Hotel suites range from garden rooms set among the dunes to oceanfront suites with floor-to-ceiling windows. Some oceanfront rooms have a private rooftop or ground-level plunge pool.

Quiet Beach Days and 12-Hour House Events

On regular days, the atmosphere stays calm and focused on cabanas, swimming and meals by the beach. It draws adults looking for a more subdued setting than the louder end of Tulum nightlife. Selected dates shift into 12-hour, day-to-night events with DJs and live performance.

The music policy centres on Afro House, Tech House, House and Organic House. Sundays previously hosted Low Chroma, a popular recurring event at the venue. Event dates have a different pace from the standard daytime service, so checking the programme matters before choosing when to visit.

Mexican Seafood, Breakfast and Cocktails by the Pool

The restaurant serves contemporary Mexican food with fresh seafood and international influences. Ceviche, fire-grilled fish, tacos and salads form the core of the daytime menu. Breakfast covers both sweet and savoury dishes, while vegan choices and special-diet menus are also available. Drinks include signature cocktails, coffee and service from the poolside bar. Meals can be taken in the restaurant or outdoor dining areas.

There is currently no minimum consumption requirement for the beach club. Separately programmed events can require tickets, and the admission rate depends on the event. Sunbeds and restaurant tables can be reserved in advance. Free parking is available at the property.

The property is at km 8.5 on Carretera Tulum-Boca Paila, close to the southern end of the Hotel Zone and the road toward the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve.
