A Friday-Night Series Running Since 2013
Gypsy Disco has taken place every Friday night since 2013. It is Gitano Jungle’s regular dinner-and-dancing party, not a one-off artist booking. Local DJs set the pace with feel-good disco, funk, groove and nu disco. The format leaves space for dinner before the Jungle Room becomes the focus. Choose this night if you want a long social evening rather than a set built around one headline name.
Pink Neon and a Floating Disco Ball
The Jungle Room gives the Friday party its recognisable setting. Pink neon and a floating disco ball frame the dance floor, while candlelight and palms run through the wider restaurant. Gitano changes character as dinner gives way to louder music, cheering and dancing. The venue is known for disco and an LGBTQIA+ welcoming approach. This is a restaurant party with a dedicated dance room, not a conventional club with a named headline act.
Mexican Food, Mezcal and Shared Tables
Food is part of the format rather than an extra beside the party. Gitano serves locally sourced, shared-style dishes based on traditional methods, with a modern Mexican menu at the centre of the weekly format. A four-course Mexican menu with champagne and mezcal cocktail pairings is available. The bar carries more than 50 mezcals and makes cocktails with locally grown seasonal fruit and herbs. Dinner, signature cocktails, bottle service and VIP tables are all offered, with the Jungle Fever among the venue’s recognised drinks.
A Tulum Restaurant with a Decade of History
Gitano Jungle has been part of Tulum’s restaurant and nightlife scene for over ten years. Its usual offer combines shared dining, local flavours, artisanal cocktails and late-night music in the Hotel Zone. The Gitano Group also runs Meze and Gitano Beach in Tulum. It has taken the wider concept to NYC, Miami Beach and Dubai. Gypsy Disco remains the original weekly Friday format at the Jungle venue.
